Published in IPRA - Shining a lamp on infographics: What marketers can learn from Florence Nightingale

Alice recently wrote a highly insightful article on how Florence Nightingale, credited as the founder of modern marketing, was also a highly innovative marketer. Discovering that a large proportion of soldiers during the Crimean War were succumbing to illness, as as a result of the unhygienic conditions they were being treated in, Florence was concerned that her findings were likely to be ignored by those that could influence change.

She realised that her reccoendations were more likely to be taken on board, if they could be presented in an easily consumable format. And the infographic was born.
